Cade 3.5 yrs, Jay 18 mos

Cade: you are amazing! Inquisitive, independent, bashful yet talkative, a great big brother and a total tease. You are growing up so fast. You are so smart for your age, and you LOVE to sing...you know more songs than the primary kids! You love pirates, batman, spiderman and toy story (woody and buzz). You love to color and draw, play soccer, watch movies and be pushed on the swing. You also just went tubing and rafting on the Salmon and LOVED taking the waves in the teeth and getting bounced around! (you didn't before). :)

Jay: You are amazing, too! You have attitude, you are a total dare-devil, you are very particular, you are very clingy (especially to mommy) but you go well to nursery and the gym, you love following your brother around and doing and saying anything he says. You are a great swimmer and jump off the dock by yourself! You are starting to talk before our eyes! Some of your favorite quotes right now:
" Ina do it" (I wanna do it)
" I baaaa" (I want a bath)
"I a up" (I want up)
"Ina dink" (I want a drink)
"Nut night" (night night)
"Bye. ta too." (Bye, thank you)
"Daaaa" (yeah)
You also love doing any songs that have motions (especially BofM stories).

We love you two so much!

Lately...

Cade in front of his favorite ride at Lagoon in UT... the dragon egg drop!! Even I lost my stomach on it!
Jay on "The Bulgy Whale"
the egg drop is like a mini panic plunge!

Oren and Betty Gatten Family Reunion:

We drove down to Kaysville, UT to meet with family members we hadn't seen in a loooong time! It was so fun to catch up! We went swimming at a pool, played volleyball, and listened to stories from my dad and siblings about growing up. The next day we hit LAGOON!! Water park and rides. The boys loved it! Little thrill seekers that they are... :) We stayed with our good friends Scott and Colette Brady and road tripped through Burley, ID and stayed with Roxanne and Matt Beck...my old Utah State friends!

The Salmon River Trip:

We went down to the Maui of Idaho with Tom's family, Brett and my dad. We of course, went white water rafting. We hit "Toilet bowl" in the teeth, enjoyed the white, sandy beaches, played some beach football, cliff jumped, and went dancing to some live music at "Hot Summer Nights" in Riggins. It was an AMAZING trip (as always)!!

-Jon has been traveling all over with his job, but home enough to keep us happy. :) He enjoyed some fishing in Alaska this week, while working, and is training for a half marathon in October.

-I have been keeping busy unpacking and repacking for trips and trying to keep our home "show ready". That's a job in and of itself! :) A few nibbles, but nothing yet.
I have also been busy teaching fitness classes (and LOVING it!) and I also got to coach a K-4th grade basketball camp this week.

Whenever we have a free minute, we are hitting the beach or Hayden lake for a tube or waterski!! Thank heavens for summer!

Flashback Friday (On a Wednesday...whatever)

I was browsing pics on my mom's computer and stumbled across this....

This was the night before I had Jay-J.
How does a tummy even get THAT BIG??
Crazy.

FOR SALE

Dear Potential Homebuyer:

Although this is our first home, and we have so many memories here, we are growing out of it. We would love for you to take it off of our hands for your future enjoyment.

Sincerely,
The Ericksons

4th of July Week[end]

Check out the link!! Click on Yellow AIRE (carnage). We went camping/rafting on the Clark Fork river in MT. (tradition). The water was a bit higher than it has been the last few years which made everything hittable....even the big rapid TUMBLEWEED. We took it right in the teeth!
Also this week: good food, great company (some of the davis clan and most of Brynne's family), cliff jumping and fishing.
On the actual 4th, we left and went to the fireworks in hayden, ID at Jon's parents' new house. Kelly (Jon's sis) and family were in town so we spent the next few days dockin' it, water skiing and watching movies. :)
Of course, we took a moment to celebrate America's birthday of our independence. How GRATEFUL we are for that....and to live in this time of freedom.

Our "Rays of Sunshine"

We don't document enough how much fun we have with these two little guys!
Here are some cute pics of recent:
we went on a family bike ride and they got tuckered out. :)
Jay the dinosaur in Nana's dress up clothes...he even has the growl down!
The boys obviously wanted to sneak on with Jon on his last trip. :)
Cade and Jay-jay...you two bring so much joy into our home. You have such a great love for eachother, it's fun to watch. We thank Heavenly Father for you every day.

Father's Day

Our boys have an amazing dad who loves them so much.

Then again, Jon and I have amazing Dads, too.
We should all thank our lucky stars.
