Cali TAKE 3...

Sarah Hull let us borrow her beach cruiser with a kid seat so we could cruise! Here is Cade and I riding the bike home after lunch with Sally and "Dode" (the woman she caretakes...awesome lady!)

We later went on a sunset cruise down this bike path all along LB:

and yet another bike ride to the park on the beach where they film Biggest Loser competitons!

Sally couldn't help but snap a picture of Cade is his FAVORITE hat...

We went sea kayaking and paddle boarding in the bay right by Shally's house! It was beautiful!

We did a loop through this old canal built to be like Sicily. The million + dollar homes were each so different architecturally and it was awesome!

California!

Cade and Mommy had a chance to take a trip together to Long Beach, CA to visit my long time friend, Sally Harris. (BFF's!!) It was a BLAST.

We did so many fun things. Here are the first couple of days. Walks on the beach, shopping, ward auction with {MC SAL}, etc. :

IT'S A....

BOY!!!!

It took our ultrasound tech, Trudy, about 2 seconds to see the "package". :) I, of course, cried. Jon couldn't have been happier (he got his wish!), and Cade blurted out, "It's a BOY? But I wanted a sister." He quickly adjusted to the idea and loved seeing him on screen! He is perfectly healthy and beautiful.

It's funny, I've always felt like I'd be a mom of boys...and here I am. It feels just right. :)

The day of LOVE...

We've got a lot of LOVE to give around here.

It's always fun to have a special day to have more excuses to show that love!

The Saturday before Jon and I went to dinner at our favorite place:

After stuffing ourselves on juicy steak, we went and played cards by the fire at Cda Resort. I love his company...and everything that comes with him.

Valentines Day morning we had heart-shaped pancakes and exchanged family valentines before school:

Then mid day I had a sisters and mom brunch at our place with all of our youngest kids.

We had yummy, homemade strawberry sauce and whipped cream topped wheat waffles...mmmm....

...then did a craft where the kids decorated a bag to put the valentines they brought for eachother in.

Lastly, we decorated sugar cookies!

They ate them while Cassie read them valentines day books.

WARNING

Normally seeing this would instantly make my mouth water. But, this week, Cade and I got food poisoning. That's right. EW.

Jon says when he used to work there when he was young, they never washed the pans that they cook the pan pizza in. MORE EW.

Anyway, after 2 days of sleep-interrupting stomach cramps, nausea, the runs (sorry TMI...EW EW EW) and watching my baby go through the same thing...I think from now on I'll stick to Papa Murphy's and cook it myself!

17 weeks with number 3!

I felt the baby move for the first time about a week ago, while snuggling with Jon after the boys were in bed. I've missed that feeling.
