From House to Home Cont'd:

We are getting closer to having this place how we want it! It's been fun doing projects and seeing this place come together!

Before family room built-in shelving:

After:

Here is the back yard before anything:

We had the fence put in, curbing, gravel (for play area and side parking), shed (which I painted), then we planted trees, extended the porch, de-rocked and top soiled:

 ...And then put in sod:

AFTER:
(now we just need to fill the beds along the house)

side parking

shed:
(this was the first place we laid sod and you can tell it's no longer patchy) :)

The porch extension my handy hubby built:

Front yard: finished planting beds and hydroseeding:

And lastly, here are a few more house decor items that have been added.
Downstairs hall:

Loft/Playroom:

And our new bed spread!

Memorial Day Weekend

We decided to forego the annual St Joe river rafting trip this year and take just our little family to stay at Silver Mountain resort at Alpine Village.
The boys had a BLAST (even little Tyce hit some tube rides with us!) and it was MUCH needed quality time together.

We hit the water park 3 days in a row (which was AWESOME), enjoyed some nice dinners out, hot tubbed, played lots of games, watched movies, made s'mores by the nice fire pits they have going at night around the resort, and hit church at the branch in Kellogg.

The resort offered so much! Next time we are bringing our bikes for the bike trails, tennis rackets, basketballs, more food (each "regular" room offers a whole mini kitchen, dishes, and dishwasher) and I might even set some time aside for the spa!  :)

Just Because

Little Builders

Cade had the best pre school teacher ever.
Her name is Mrs. Scholes and she is right in our neighborhood.
Cade had an amazing year and learned A TON! He came home every day with massive amounts of work pages, crafts, stories and songs to sing! He loved every day.
All of these kids except for Xander (with the mo hawk) will be going to kindergarten with him in the fall! Jay will be in this school in the fall, too.

Here they are with their cool hats like "real" graduates wear (they threw them and everything).

(LtoR: Aaron Frantz, Aubrey, Cade Maddie Short, Maggie Hughes, and Xander Scholes)

Cade receiving his high honors. ;)

My cute, cheesy grinned graduate. :)

Now onto a new chapter... kindergarten.
We talked about it today, and he told me he was scared. When I assured him all his friends would be there and he'd make a TON more, he got excited.

Wow...wasn't I just this age a few years ago?

LOVE YOU CADE!!!

Destructo-Tyce!!!

Ahh, I remember this stage.

He unravels the toilet paper.
He empties all my cupboards and drawers.
He plays in the toilet.
He gets into the garbage.
He turns on my bath.

And I spend my whole day cleaning up messes.
:)

I am a soccer mom.

This is my 3rd season as a soccer mom. I never thought I would say it, but I'm totally one of those moms that puts her heart into every game, screams and yells for them and all.
Even if they are three. :)

This was Jay's first season.
The first two games, he cried. Didn't want to go in.
The 2nd-4th games, we bribed him with treats like donuts, and he managed.
By games 5 and 6, he was getting out there, getting touches on the ball and doing awesome!!

This was Cade's third season. He dominated last year, but this season he was on the lower end of age again. (5 and 6 yr olds). He did great, though! He almost scored a couple of goals, but not quite. Most kids were bigger. But he's fast.

So proud of my boys!

Going Private

Hello Family and Friends,

I am considering making this blog private soon to protect our little family from unwanted readers. If you would like to be included on our updates, please give me your email address that you sign into blogger with. Thanks. :)
